Man caught in child sex sting might have more victims

Apr 17, 2012, 11:06 AM | Updated: 12:33 pm

Investigators are working to link a registered sex offender
to sex crimes against children around the Northwest.

A 35-year-old man was arrested in a sting Sunday in Elma, WA
trying to meet an 11-year-old boy for sex in a park restroom
in Grays Harbor County.

State Patrol Lieutenant Ron Mead says detectives searched a
home in Snohomish where he was living with his mother.

“Seized were a number of computers and other media-type
devices. Suffice it to say, we do have evidence as a result
of that that has led us to believe there are other victims
out there,” said Mead.

Detectives say the suspect worked on a car racing team that
traveled the Northwest to compete.

The sex offender, who is registered at an address in
Tukwila, did not register to live in Snohomish, according to
Mead. The suspect is held on bail of $1 million awaiting
charges.
