Man killed walking on I-5 near Boeing Field

A man struck by a car while walking on I-5 Thursday morning has died.
KING 5 reports the man was hit around 1:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-5 near Boeing Field.
There had been several calls to police reporting someone walking on the freeway.
The man was reportedly standing in lane two of the freeway when he was hit. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center, but died of his injuries.
Police believe the 44-year-old man was a transient.
KING 5 reports the driver will not be cited.
