Seattle police are searching for suspects after a man was shot and a dog was killed during a home invasion robbery in Judkins Park.

It happened at a home in the 1100 block of 29th Avenue South.

Witnesses called 911 at 9:30 p.m. Sunday to report masked men had forced their way into the home. Officers on their way to the house heard multiple gunshots in the area shortly before they arrived.

Officers entered the home and found a man who had been shot twice and a dog that had been shot and killed. The suspects had fled.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Robbery detectives said a large amount of cash had been taken from a safe inside the home.
