BELLEVUE, Wash. – A man crashed his car through the front of a Bellevue church Sunday morning, splintering wood and shattering glass.

New Hope Ministries is located at 15700 block of northeast 4th Street. No one inside the church was hurt, Bellevue police said.

The car was removed from the church by 11 a.m. The crash occurred just after 7 a.m.

The driver, a 32-year-old Renton man, was arrested under suspicion of drunk driving and hit-and-run, according to KIRO 7.

The church posted a message to their Facebook page alerting the public Sunday’s service would be canceled due to the crash.

The church said fire officials are investigating.
