Seattle Police say the shooting death of a 42-year-old man in the Maple Leaf neighborhood may have been directly related to a road rage-type of traffic incident.

Police found 42-year-old Yancy Noll slumped over in his car stopped on the 7500 block of 15th Avenue NE. He had been shot multiple times in the Friday night incident.

Police believe someone pulled up to the victim’s car, and for reasons that may have been related to a road rage incident, fired multiple rounds into his vehicle, then fled the scene.

Police say the suspect vehicle is described as a silver BMW Z4 convertible. The car may have recent body damage including a broken out passenger side window.

Investigators don’t know what sparked the incident, but witnesses have identified the suspect as a well-dressed white or Asian male in his late 20’s to 30’s with dark, slicked-back hair.

“It’s frustrating because you want to know, you want to find out how it happened, why did it happen to somebody who was such a wonderful guy?” said Ken Avedisian, a friend of the victim, in an interview with KING 5.

Police are encouraging the suspect to turn himself in.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect or his vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Seattle Police Homicide Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.

The Seattle Police Department has posted security video of the suspect vehicle moments after the shooting:
