The epic ballad of the lost wallaroo has come to an end.

Last month we learned that Hopkins, a wallaroo (an animal between the sizes of a kangaroo and a wallaby,) went missing in the eastern Washington town of Deer Park.

Now he’s has been found alive and well, and will be reunited with his mother, Bouncy, and his brother, Dave.

The wallaroo escaped from his pen after being frightened by construction on his owner’s property. But a month later, he was found frolicking in a blueberry patch.

What was Hopkins doing that entire time? What sort of adventures did he have in his month of freedom? That’s a story for another time.
