A missing teen from Woodinville was spotted in Capitol Hill last month.
More than two months after 14-year-old Nyla Primeau disappeared, she was seen on security footage in Seattle, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) reported in a news release on Thursday.
Nyla went missing Aug. 19 from Woodinville. Law enforcement said they got a lead about a month later that led investigators to security footage near the store in Capitol Hill on Sept. 17.
The footage showed Nyla wearing a black hoodie and gray sweatpants and carrying a white backpack around noon.
“This is the last known sighting of Nyla, approximately 20 miles from her home,” NCMEC stated.
Missing Woodinville teen believed to still be in Seattle area
The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Nyla’s disappearance and believes she could still be in the Seattle area.
NCMEC said Nyla’s mother, Rachel Primeau, is extremely worried for her daughter’s safety. She hopes a message will reach her daughter.
“Nyla, you are so loved and missed, and I will never stop waiting for your return,” Primeau said. “You are irreplaceable and the only thing I think and pray about. I love you from the depths of my soul.”
Nyla is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs around 130 pounds, has green eyes, and was last seen with dyed brown hair.
Anyone with information about Nyla’s disappearance is asked to contact NCMEC at 1-800-843-5678 or the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311.
