Tim Eyman said earlier this week that the city of Monroe is breaking law by putting fliers inside utility bills.

The flier explains the upcoming vote on red light and speed cameras, including the 10 most frequently asked questions about cameras.

Some of the questions on the flier included, ‘What type of cameras are used? Where are they? Who issues the tickets?’

Eyman said regardless of the questions answered in the flier, he still thinks it’s illegal to send it out.

Public money can’t be used to push a political campaign, but the city said they are simply providing information.
