A vehicle was slowing down for traffic when the motorcyclist rear-ended it and was ejected, according to KIRO 7. The motorcyclist was then struck by another car and pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported. WSP noted that the cause of the crash was determined to be from the motorcycle following too closely to the car.
All but one lane of westbound I-90 in Bellevue were blocked near 133rd Avenue S.E., causing a two-mile backup.
All lanes have since reopened following the collision.
