Motorcyclist dies on West Seattle Bridge following crash near Delridge Way off-ramp

A 42-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday evening following a crash on his bike on the West Seattle Bridge.
According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), the motorcyclist hit a barrier heading west near the Delridge Way off-ramp. The Seattle Fire Department attempted life-saving medical attention when they arrived, but he died at the scene of the crash.

The crash happened at approximately 8 p.m. Sunday, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT).
SPD is currently investigating the crash.
“Police cordoned off the area until Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) detectives arrived and processed the collision scene,” SPD stated. “The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation. Officers impounded the motorcycle from the scene. The King County Medical Examiner took custody of the deceased.”
