Update

Two lanes of westbound I-90 reopened to traffic after the roadway was completely closed for hours Thursday morning.

Original story

A mudslide is once again blocking all lanes of westbound I-90 in Issaquah west of the Highpoint Way exit and east of Front Street.

State crews reopened the left lane of I-90 just before 7:30 a.m., but closed them again before 8 a.m.

Trees, rocks and mud came down from a hillside at about 4:45 a.m. Thursday, disabling as many as a dozen vehicles. No injuries were reported.

Debris was across all four of the westbound lanes.

Mud is a few inches in some places and a little deeper in others. Large rocks and one or two trees are across the road.

Staff from the Department of Ecology and a WSDOT engineer are still assessing the situation.
