3 killed, 2 injured in multi-vehicle crash on SR 2 near Gold Bar, WSP says

A fatal crash involving multiple vehicles forced SR 2 to be closed in both directions for several hours near Gold Bar and Index.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The crash killed three people and sent two more to the hospital.

A witness told KIRO 7 that the alleged driver who caused the fatal collision was driving too fast for the traffic conditions.
WSP is investigating what led up to the crash.
