Newly released recordings detail law enforcement response to Marysville-Pilchuck shooting

Recordings of 911 dispatch communications in Snohomish County offer a detailed insight into how law enforcement responded to last Friday’s shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
The recordings begin as dispatchers notify police of “an active shooter” at the school.
Minutes later, the first officers arrive on the scene.
“I have two that are still breathing and alive, three possibly that are deceased,” one officer is heard saying soon after responding to the school cafeteria where Jaylen Fryberg, 15, shot five other teens before taking his own life.
The recordings of radio transmissions between police and 911 dispatchers were released Thursday by the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team, following a Seattle Times public-disclosure request.
“Do we have the shooter?,” one dispatcher is heard asking. “Shooter is down,” an officer responds.
