Two lanes on I-90 in North Bend have reopened, after a semi-truck fire had them blocked for most of Tuesday morning.

Lanes had been initially blocked starting around 3 a.m., involving a semi-truck that spilled several gallons of anti-freeze and motor oil onto the roadway after colliding with another vehicle. Lanes were reopened close to 8 a.m., before a semi-truck fire stemming from a separate incident 45 minutes later that had the roadway blocked again.

A passenger in the semi was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Washington State Trooper Rick Johnson warned drivers in the area to “expect a lengthy closure.”

WSDOT put a detour in place for drivers looking to get around the incident:

Drivers can take exit 31 to SR 202 to take you to Snoqualmie Parkway or Preston-Fall City Road, eventually leading you back to I-90.

The incident occurred near milepost 27 just east of SR 202 and Bendigo Boulevard.
