Occupy Seattle protesters are planning a Silent Flash March in downtown Seattle on Monday.

The march to mark the one-year anniversary of Occupy Wall Street will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Westlake Park.

Organizers are asking participants to bring a dollar bill to be taped over their mouths.

“Right now, with every dollar we spend, we give corporations more and more influence over our politics, over our healthcare, our government, our society, and our future. With every dollar we give them more and more influence over our daily lives,” says the message demonstrators plan to hand out at the march. “Together let us reclaim our voices with silence.”

The march is meant to be totally silent, with organizers recommending participants don’t chant, speak or sing, and instead, “make our point by making eye contact with as many of the people we pass as possible and holding it just a little too long.”

Occupy Wall Street protesters have also been marching in small groups around Manhattan’s financial district to mark the anniversary of the grass-roots movement.
