On-demand ice cream trucks coming to Seattle

Forecasters say Friday is going to be nice in Seattle
(low-
80’s), a good thing for on-demand ice cream trucks.
Uber, a San Francisco based company known
for quickly
getting
you
a limousine, has teamed up with ice cream trucks around
the
city. Within ten minutes of activating its app, a truck
will
show up outside your door with Drumsticks, Bomb Pops,
Strawberry Crunches, and all the other classics.
The catch? You have to commit to buying for at least five
people, about a $12 value.
The promotion runs from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and,
according
to GeekWire,
will focus on downtown, South Lake Union, Pioneer
Square, Capitol Hill, and Fremont neighborhoods.
Uber is hoping to appeal to the everyday masses with its
new
on-demand ice cream delivery system. It’s also putting
trucks out on the roads in Boston, Chicago, New York, San
Francisco, Toronto, and Washington D.C.
