Chris Sullivan captures pack of coyotes on home security cameras

Dec 10, 2025, 7:55 AM

I put up the security cameras for the obvious reasons, but after catching a few raccoons by the back door, I decided to add a few more just for fun.

Watching the neighborhood cats and dozens of bunnies play around is always amusing. But our cameras have also caught a stray bobcat (twice) and a glimpse of a coyote.

I never expected to catch a pack of coyotes checking out of the yard. We live by the power lines, and there is a large green space behind our home. I assumed wildlife was hanging out there. That’s why our two cats don’t go outside. But a pack of coyotes?

We live in Snohomish County, just east of Mill Creek. Not exactly a wildlife preserve.

It’s just a good reminder that predators can be right outside our doors in the Pacific Northwest.
