Windstorm knocks out power for thousands across Puget Sound region

Thousands of people were without power following a strong Friday night windstorm that blew across the Puget Sound region, bringing with it drenching rains and strong gusts.

Seattle City Light
Puget Sound Energy
Snohomish County PUD
Mason County PUD

On Saturday, the wind had gone, but Seattle City Light reported 800 customers, and Puget Sound Energy reported 5,400 customers without power. Snohomish County PUD reported 2,600 customers and Mason County PUD reported 30,000 customers without power. By Saturday night, most outages were repaired.

The National Weather Service forecast another series of storms to bring heavy rainfall and windy conditions from Monday through Thursday.
