Nearly 7,000 lose power in Kitsap County after truck hits Peninsula Light utility pole

Approximately 7,000 Peninsula Light Company customers lost power just before 9 p.m. Monday after a truck rolled over into a utility pole in Kitsap County.

The outage is ongoing, with more than 2,000 customers near Longbranch and LakeBay currently without power.

Peninsula Light power outage in Kitsap County

Peninsula Light crews have worked throughout the night to restore power for roughly 5,000 customers. The estimated restoration time was set for 10 a.m.

Dispatch has evaluated rerouting power to restore members’ power while crews work, according to KIRO 7.

Replacing the pole is necessary and will be a lengthy repair, Peninsula Light told KIRO 7.
