Phone threat prompts King County Courthouse evacuation

The King Courthouse in downtown Seattle was evacuated and remained closed Friday afternoon after courthouse staff received a threatening phone call.

The Seattle Police Department’s arson and bomb squad responded to the courthouse, at 3rd Avenue and Jefferson Street.

Officials said the threatening call came in at about 1:15 p.m.

Police continue investigating and are working to find the caller.
