Pierce County deputies shoot, injure man suspected in multiple robberies

Pierce County deputies shot and wounded a man suspected of multiple home-invasion robberies at a motel in Buckley Thursday morning.
Pierce County Detective Ed Troyer says deputies wanted to confront the man as he woke-up, and there was an exchange of gunfire at the hotel at Highway 410 and Main Street.
“We’re looking at it him for all kinds of crimes. He has 12 felony convictions and he also is armed and has been committing more residential robberies, stealing cars, motorcycles. He’s somebody who’s been high on our radar for some time,” said Troyer.
All the deputies are OK. The condition of the suspect isn’t known. He was rushed to the hospital.
