Police: Flashers expose themselves near West Seattle schools again

Oct 23, 2013, 6:42 AM | Updated: 9:28 am

It’s happened again, police in Seattle say a flasher or flashers are exposing themselves to kids outside West Seattle schools.

According to police, two new incidents occurred Tuesday afternoon about an hour apart.

The first incident was reported at Westside School where several students were confronted by the suspect who pulled up in a black sedan, got out of the car and exposed himself to the kids. Police say he then got back in the car and drove southbound on 34th Avenue SW.

That suspect was described as a white male in his 30s with a beard and wearing a hoodie with the hood up. He was believed to be driving a black 4-door Saturn with silver rims and a baby seat in the back seat of the vehicle.

The second incident was reported a few blocks from Madison Middle School. Police say a 13-year-old girl was walking home from school when she observed a man masturbating in his car and watching other children.

That suspect was described as a heavy-set white male in his 30s with glasses, wearing a blue t-shirt and driving a black 4-door sedan.

Police can’t say for sure if these acts were committed by the same man.

There were a series of similar incidents in West Seattle in September.

Police are actively investigating and encourage you to call 911 as soon as possible when observing suspicious or criminal activity.

Anyone with information about these incidents or who may know the identity or location of a suspect involved is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to these incidents.
