Police investigating death of man near Woodland Park as a homicide

Seattle police are investigating the death of a man who was found near Woodland Park early Wednesday as a homicide.

Around 2:30 a.m., police were called to Aurora Avenue North at North 50th Street by a passing driver who said there was someone lying in the street.

Officers arrived and found a 38-year-old man dead. The cause of death is still under investigation.

Homicide detectives are looking for any witnesses in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Seattle police tip line at 206-233-5000.
