She looks like a young lady, but she has the mind of a 9-year-old, and police are worried about what might have happened to a girl missing in Pierce County.
Maliika Andrus, 17, recently moved to a group home in the 18400 block of South Tapps Drive East in the Bonney Lake area. She’s not familiar with the neighborhood, so police aren’t sure where she might have gone.
Staff say she tampered with the alarm on her bedroom window and took off Sunday morning. She was last seen at 6:20 a.m. on August 18. Search and rescue teams with dogs have been looking for her, with no luck so far.
Maliika is described as black, five-foot six inches tall, 115 pounds with black hair worn in braids and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and striped pajama pants.
