A Bernese Mountain Dog had a ruff day last week.

It somehow got stuck on some cold, wet rocks at Tacoma Chinese Reconciliation Park. Someone called Tacoma Police, and officers were able to gently lift the dog to safety.

The dog posted a thank-you message on the Tacoma Police Department Facebook page.

“I barked for help (politely, of course), and before I knew it, these amazing humans in uniforms showed up,” the dog wrote. “They told me everything was gonna be okay and helped me up off the rocks like true heroes. 10/10 service. Would recommend.”

Police took the dog to the Humane Society, where it was reunited with its humans.
