An explosion that rocked Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood was picked up by a seismometer 250 meters away.

John Vidale with the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network reports the seismometer is located between NW 87th Street and NW 90th Street.

The seismometer north of the explosion is the only one that seems to have recorded any activity from the explosion. Because no other stations triggered, Vidale believes the explosion that destroyed a Port Orchard mobile home and killed two people last month was stronger. That explosion was caused by a propane leak, and the air wave was picked up by a dozens of seismometers up to 50 miles away.
