Prison wedding for sex offender couple may be first and last kiss

Oct 29, 2013, 5:39 AM | Updated: 8:52 am

When a Washington couple gets married on Halloween night, it will be the first time they will be allowed to kiss or even hold hands, and it will likely be their last.

Both inmates are at the McNeil Island special commitment center for sex offenders, where physical contact is prohibited, but Hank Pollock and his transgender bride Rebecca Elmore plan to tie the knot, despite rules.

The News Tribune reports the two hope their unique marriage will help pave the way for other sex offenders at similar institutions around the nation.

Pollock is a repeat sex offender with crimes against children. Elmore was convicted of kidnapping and assault with a sexual motivation.

They will not be allowed to share a cell.

The couple chose to get married on Halloween because it’s the start of the Wiccan New Year.
