Puget Sound Walmart employees are going to be protesting their working conditions outside the Federal Way store on Thursday.

This protest is being organized by a national union group that has held similar protests outside Walmarts around the country. The group has been trying unsuccessfully to get Walmart employees to unionize.

Workers are holding the protest to highlight some of the conditions that they don’t like, things like scheduling, long hours, safety and discrimination.

This is the first time one of these protests has been held in the Puget Sound area. Walmarts in 12 cities were hit with similar protests in October.

More than a million people work for Walmart which in the nation’s largest retailer.
