Nearly 5,000 Puget Sound Energy customers remained without power Tuesday morning after a fast-moving and intense storm moved through the area Monday afternoon.
PSE has been dealing with nearly 300 outages that cut power to more than 22,000 customers on Monday. Most of the outages were in north and south King County and Kitsap County. Crews fixed the major lines by midnight, but now they are dealing with the small pockets of outages.
MacKenzie McDowell with PSE said they should have those customers back on line soon. “We still have a little bit of work to go, but we think early morning rather than late morning,” she said.
The outages were caused by gusty winds and hundreds of lightning strikes.
