A father and his two sons from Puyallup have been charged with multiple misdemeanors — ranging from destruction of government property to acts of physical violence on Capitol grounds — for their role in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol insurrection.

Kevin Cronin Sr., Kevin Cronin II, and Dylan Cronin were arrested Monday June 13 on warrants issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Kevin Cronin II was a member of the Washington Army National Guard at the time of the riot, according to a criminal complaint. Dylan Cronin was assigned to the U.S. Army Reserves.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed the trio’s participation in the insurrection by issuing warrants for the location of their mobile devices, which showed their presence at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Images of the men obtained from social media and security cameras also confirm their location, according to U.S. District Court charging documents.

Criminal charges against members of the trio include destruction of government property; entering and remaining in a restricted building; disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building; engaging in physical violence in a restricted building; disorderly conduct in a Capitol building; acts of physical violence in the Capitol building grounds; and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.
