Rain returning to Western Washington

After drying out for a few of days, Washington is in for more rain.
The National Weather Service says another series of Pacific storms is setting up to move into the Northwest starting Wednesday evening, with stronger fronts every day or two.
KING 5’s Rich Marriott says the Seattle area is in for a rainy afternoon Wednesday. Showers remain in the forecast through next Tuesday.
“After the cold front zips through Wednesday evening, another front appears likely to follow right on its heels early Thursday morning for a period of steady rain,” says the full KING 5 forecast. “A series of fronts will move through the state Friday through the weekend for rainy and occasionally breezy to windy weather.”
Forecasters say strong winds are possible at times and heavier rain could arrive by the middle of next week.
For snow watchers, University of Washington meteorologist Cliff Mass says the latest storms won’t bring much snow to Snoqualmie or Stevens Pass, but Baker, Crystal and Whistler could see some accumulations.
