Rainier Beach man shot in neck inside his home

Seattle Police are investigating after a man was shot late Monday night in his Rainier Beach home.

Officers say at 10:10 p.m., a resident in the 9700 block of 60th Avenue South called 911 to report a man was shot and injured.

Officers arrived and found a 50-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Seattle Fire Department medics responded and rushed the man to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

After speaking with the victim and gathering evidence at the scene, police determined the suspect shot the victim from outside the home through a window.

A K9 team attempted to track the suspect, but was unsuccessful.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. 

Seattle Police investigating drive-by shooting

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) says a man was wounded in a shooting Monday while driving on Aurora Avenue.

SPD says around 9:40 p.m. the 31-year-old man was driving south on Aurora when he slowed to turn onto Raye Street.

The victim told officers a driver in a dark sedan behind him flashed the car’s light and pulled along his left side.

The victim heard gunfire and was hit in the leg. The dark sedan sped off.

Police responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the man before SFD medics arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Redmond Five Guys break-in foiled

On Friday, Oct. 14, around 10:45 p.m., Redmond officers responded to a burglary in progress at Five Guys in Redmond.

Officers say the suspect broke a glass door and entered the restaurant after closing.

He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and second-degree malicious mischief.

Attempted robbery in Columbia City leads to shooting

According to SPD, a man was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery in Columbia City.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at 12:00 p.m. Monday, in the 4400 block of Rainier Avenue South. 

According to police, a 56-year-old man was shot in the chest. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

KIRO 7 reports that the man who was shot is a fellow local business owner in the area. Police said a male suspect shot the man during an attempted robbery.

Police are searching for the suspect, using a K9 team to assist.

Detectives responded to the scene and are investigating the incident.

No arrests have been made.

Monroe Police looking for porch thief

The Monroe Police Department is asking for help to identify a suspect accused of stealing a $200 fountain from the porch of a home in the community.

Anyone who can help identify this person is encouraged to email Officer Luther Coleman at lcoleman@monroewa.gov.

Tukwila Police stop vehicle theft 

Tukwila Police say yesterday at about 3:40 p.m. officers located a stolen vehicle in the 13000 block of 48th Avenue S. Police say this is a known problem area.

According to officers, there were two people inside the vehicle. They took off in the vehicle and officers were successful in spiking the tires and stopping it.

The vehicle was stopped in the vicinity of Foster golf course.

The suspects ran away but were caught by officers and arrested.
