One dead, residents evacuated after Renton condo fire

One person has died after a fire broke out in a Renton condo on Monday afternoon.

The fire occurred in one of the units inside a building on Union Avenue N.E., according to KIRO 7.

Several occupants of the building were forced to evacuate their homes.

Multiple agencies responded to battle the blaze.

Investigators believed it was an electrical fire, though they have yet to officially determine a cause.

There is currently no information on how many of the housing units were damaged by the fire.
