Happy trails! Renton Police K9 Zoey retires after 9 years

The Renton Police Department announced a special retirement for one of its most devoted employees, K9 Zoey.

Zoey spent nine years on the force with the department, seizing approximately 520 pounds of narcotics in her career. According to the Renton Police Department, the street value of drugs discovered and confiscated by Zoety equates to $10,817.

“Zoey also made many appearances at Renton Police community events and modeled Halloween costumes picked by Facebook users,” the Renton Police Department stated. “Zoey will retire with her handler, Detective Braun.”

A retirement video for Zoey was created by the department.
