An investigation is underway into what caused a Kent school bus driver to strike a colleague while she was walking in a crosswalk.
Lynne Hagen, a 25-year veteran bus driver, was halfway through a cross walk when she was hit by a school bus Monday.
“It doesn’t matter how safe we’ve been in the past – this morning we weren’t,” Kent School District Spokesman Chris Loftis told KING 5 after the accident.
Loftis said Hagen was taken to Harborview with serious injuries.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be involved, but the investigation continues Tuesday morning.
