Seahawks return home: Things to know before you go

Heading to the Seahawks preseason home opener Friday night at CenturyLink Field? Here are some things to know about their first appearance at home since winning the Super Bowl.
All gates and Touchdown City, located in the CenturyLink Field Event Center, open at 4 p.m. ahead of the 7 p.m. kickoff.
The Seahawks remind fans they can only bring certain types and sizes of bags into the stadium:
-Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″;
-One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar);
-Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options;
-Fans with medical equipment are encouraged to enter the stadium through the West gate.
Getting to the game could be a bit of a challenge as fans run into the Friday afternoon commute. You can check the latest conditions and possible construction problems here before heading for CenturyLink Field.
The Seahawks are encouraging fans to give themselves plenty of time to make sure they get to the game on time. They suggest using public transportation instead of driving whenever possible, with plenty of options available including ST Express Bus Service, Link Light Rail, Sounder Rail Service and Metro Bus Service.

While all of the regular season games are sold out, a limited number of tickets to Friday night’s game are still available. You won’t get to see the likes of Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman on the field for very long, but for those not lucky enough to score seats for the games that matter, it’s still a chance to bask in the excitement at CenturyLink Field.
Tickets could be had as of Friday morning directly on Ticketmaster for as low as $72 in the Hawks Nest above the north endzone to Charter Seats on the 50-yard-line for $430. And many season ticket holders were offering their tickets for face value on Craigslist as well.
If you aren’t going to the game, of course you can catch all of the action on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM and 710 ESPN Seattle. Pregame coverage with Dori Monson, Paul Moyer, Sam Adkins and the rest of the crew gets underway at 5 p.m.
