Police in Taft, CA have reportedly arrested a 68-year-old man suspected of killing his nephew in SeaTac Thursday night.

Robert Leroy Studer’s 42-year-old nephew was shot in the face and pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center.

The King County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning that the man’s uncle, Robert Studer, was a suspect and may be armed and dangerous. He was believed to be driving a white van with Arizona license plates.

According to reports from Taft, CA, Studer engaged police in a standoff that lasted about eight hours on Saturday. Studer was reportedly holed up in either an RV or building.

Several loud bangs were heard in the area around 7 p.m., according to the Taft Midway Driller. It’s believed that Studer may have been injured in the standoff.

It’s still unclear why Studer was in Taft, which is a small town located about two hours north of Los Angeles.
