Demonstrators clogged Seattle streets Sunday, marching against two officer-involved shootings that occurred earlier this week in Louisiana and Minnesota.

Bicycle officers with the Seattle Police Department were stationed on 5th Avenue to prevent protestors from entering the express lanes.

Protesters with the Seattle affiliate of the Coalition to Stop Police Brutality started gathering at Westlake Park in downtown Seattle at around 2 p.m.

Philando Castile was shot during a traffic stop in Minnesota. Alton Sterling was shot in Louisiana after a reported altercation with police.

The Seattle Department of Transportation advised drivers in the area to use alternate routes Sunday evening.

The march was peaceful. On their Facebook page, the group urged demonstrators to bring signs, banners, drums and other noisemakers.

The group also told marchers to bring their “anger and determination to #StopPoliceTerror”.
