Thursday set to bring Seattle its first 70-degree day of 2020

Seattle may be doing what it can to stay home right now, but at the very least, the sun will continue to shine in the meantime.
Fun at-home activities for kids during stay-at-home order
According to the latest report from the National Weather Service, the city is set for its first 70-degree day this Thursday, possibly extending into Friday.

Sunshine and mostly dry weather will persist the rest of the week, with no precipitation expected until Sunday night at the earliest.
For everyone doing their part to maintain proper social distancing guidelines, there are still plenty of activities you can do outdoors to take advantage of the good weather, including going for a walk or run, gardening — while following helpful tips from Ciscoe Morris — and visiting any number of smaller, less-frequented Seattle-area neighborhood parks that remain open.
Health officials are urging people to avoid packing into parks still open to the public — if it’s not possible to maintain six feet of distance from others at all times, odds are it’s too crowded.
Seattle worried about proximity of people running, cycling on trails
Larger Seattle parks are still likely to be off limits again this weekend.
“Stay away from these big parks. We don’t want to be part of the problem, we want to be part of the solution,” said Seattle Parks and Recreation Superintendent Jesus Aguirre last weekend.
Outside of Seattle, the City of Kirkland announced last Friday that it would leave its popular parks and trails, such as Marina Park, Juanita Beach Park, and the Cross-Kirkland Corridor, open for the time being. Police and Kirkland Parks and Community Services Department crew members will be at some of these locations educating people about how to keep safe distances while outdoors.
