Seattle massage therapist charged with rape of a client

Jan 24, 2013, 3:08 PM | Updated: 3:10 pm

A Seattle massage therapist has lost his license after being charged with the rape of a client.

Massage therapist Eric Lara is accused of touching a female client inappropriately.

“Mr. Lara is alleged to have taken the draping off of his client and touched her inappropriately,” says Julie Graham with the Washington State Department of Health.

“Our board here has decided that he can’t safely practice until he answers these charges, and has taken away his license.”

Graham says Lara will have a chance to appeal the decision and may get his license back if he’s cleared of the charges.
