The teen was interviewed and booked into the Youth Services Center for investigation of robbery.

The tourists, visiting from Rhode Island, were walking near the tunnel’s entrance late Monday night when they passed by a group of men and women on the street.

Police say a woman in the group confronted the victims and accused them of bumping her. When the victim apologized, the female suspect burned a 29-year-old man with a lit cigarette.

The group of suspects stole a phone from the victims and then hit another 29-year-old man in the head with a broken bottle, according to police. The suspects also attacked two women, 23 and 24 years old, punching them in the face.

Officers arrested one man at the scene after he yelled at the victims, who were being treated by medics, that they deserved to be beaten and robbed.

The victims weren’t able to provide many details about the suspects, but described the woman who burned the male victim as a black female in her 20s. She’s between 5’8-5’10”, with a heavy build. She was wearing a brown jacket, grey shirt, and jeans.
