Seattle police investigate shooting on Beacon Hill

Police are investigating a shooting on Seattle’s Beacon Hill.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a home in the 5100 block of S. Avon Street damaged by gunfire.

There are no reported injuries.

Police say a man standing on the street told a resident of the home that he was the target of the shooting. He then ran to a red Chevy truck and fled the scene.

There is no description of a gunman and officers haven’t talked to the supposed target of the shooting. Police are interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence at the scene.

Expect traffic impacts on Beacon Ave. as police investigate.
