Seattle police searching for hit-and-run driver who struck and killed bicyclist

Seattle police are searching for a driver who struck and killed a bicyclist on Beacon Hill, then drove off early Sunday morning.
Investigators say just after midnight, someone hit a 38-year-old bicyclist at Beacon Ave. S. and S. Stevens.
Officers and Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and found a 38-year-old man unresponsive in the roadway.
Medics tried to revive the victim with life-saving measures.
But he did not survive and died at the scene.
Police say the driver of the vehicle that hit him immediately took off from the scene.
Officers cordoned off the area with yellow police tape, securing the scene for traffic collision investigators.
Witnesses told police they saw the bicyclist attempting to cross Beacon Ave. S. when the vehicle struck him.
So far, police have not released a description of the vehicle or the driver.
