Seattle Republicans band together for bigger voice

Seattle is decidedly Democrat, but some Republicans who dare live within the city limits have formed a new group to try and get their voices heard.
“There’s another point of view out here and there are other options aside from the crazy approach taken by the current city leadership,” said Mary Strow, with the newly formed Seattle Area Republicans.
Strow said the group is worried about the way city leaders seem to ignore the people on many things like the viaduct, bike lanes, and taxes.
“We’re Seattle residents, we live here too, we work here, we are raising our children here too. We want the city to be a better place too.”
Strow says the group is only focused on city issues, like the mandatory paid sick leave being considered by the council, so even disenfranchised Democrats are welcome to join the group.
