Seattle fans turn up the volume as Super Bowl LX fan festivities kick off

Feb 8, 2026, 3:16 PM

Thousands of football fans from across the country surged into the Bay Area this week for Super Bowl LX, and the early scene at the NFL’s official fan events has been awash in blue and green.

The NFL’s Super Bowl fan experience at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara included a sprawling parking lot that’s been converted into a celebration of interactive exhibits, games, and memorabilia. When the gates opened to fans, 12s outnumbered Patriots fans by far and roared round after round, “SEA … HAWKS.”

Standing in line for autographs and displays, Seattle fans dominated. We spotted former Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan in the crowd.

“I’m a huge Seahawks fan, went to the first game in 1976, we’re here to win, and I’m wearing my redemption t-shirt,” Durkan said. “Marshawn Lynch, we remember you. The guys are going to do it.”

While Patriots fans have also made the trek, with organized rallies and watch parties planned in San Francisco, the sheer volume of Seahawks supporters and their spirited presence have been notable in official Super Bowl spaces and surrounding fan zones across the city by the bay and San Jose, where the Seahawks have been staying and practicing all week.

For many visitors, the trip is as much about the community around the game as the game itself.

“Coming through the gate, we were so excited we were jumping up and down,” one fan dressed in Seahawks overalls, no shirt, and Seahawks tattoos covering his arms and chest said. “This is our first Super Bowl, and we’re so excited the Hawks are here.”
