‘Serious’ multi-vehicle crash blocking Highway 99 in Fife

Nov 25, 2015, 6:30 AM | Updated: 8:04 am

Highway 99 is closed due to a multi-vehicle crash between Fife and Federal way.

Both lanes are closed near from Porter Way to around 360th Street, according to Federal Way police.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash around 6 a.m. The Seattle Times reports one car drove over a patch of ice, hitting a semi-truck and pickup. The 54-year-old who drove over the ice was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The woman driving the pickup was taken to Valley Medical Center.

The closure is expected to last several hours.

Because of light traffic on I-5, KIRO Radio traffic reporter Chris Sullivan says the crash shouldn’t bog down the morning commute much.
