An investigation is underway after a toddler and three others were shot Sunday in Seattle’s Central District.

Officers were called at about 3:22 p.m. to 23rd Avenue South and South Jackson Street for a report of a shooting.

Police said some suspects reportedly approached a business parking lot on foot and started firing gunshots into the parking area. A 2-year-old and three men were struck by bullet, officials said.

Before medics or police arrived at the scene, all the victims were taken to hospitals in personal vehicles.

Police said the 2-year-old is in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center.

A spokesperson with Harborview said two men are in satisfactory condition and that a third man was taken to another hospital but was being transferred to Harborview and is likely in satisfactory condition.

No other injuries were reported.

It is not yet known what led to the shooting, and no one has been arrested as of yet. The suspects fled the scene and remain on the loose.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
