Small closures make for potentially big traffic headaches this weekend

While there are no major road closures in Seattle this weekend, a bunch of smaller closures and lane restrictions could cause a lot of congestion.
The ramp to I-90 from southbound I-5 is going to be cut down to one lane over the weekend for expansion joint work. That’s going to cause backups on the main line.
Drivers in downtown won’t be able to use the Spring or James streets on-ramps to access I-5 or I-90 either. They will be closed.
There are also going to be closures around the stadiums.
Ramps to 99 will be closed at Royal Brougham Way. So will one lane of northbound 99 and a southbound lane on First Avenue South.
The closures will last until Monday at 5 a.m.
