An escaped goat gave one Snohomish County neighborhood quite a scare — and two deputies a story they’ll be telling for years.
In newly released body camera footage from Aug. 28, the two Snohomish County deputies can be seen trying to corral the animal and get it back into its pen.
The goat had been trying to ram people, according to a post on the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Facebook page.
Deputies sized up the suspect when they arrived on scene.
“It’s a strong-lookin’ goat,” one of the deputies said.
After getting the goat by its foot-long horns, they realized it was strong.
“This thing is really strong, dude,” a deputy can be heard saying in the body camera footage. “We literally cannot let go, or it’s gonna f*** us up!”
The deputies held on and eventually got the goat safely back into its pen without anyone getting hurt.
“Sometimes, the calls our deputies respond to are anything but ordinary,” the post stated. “And they’re always interesting!”
