There’s a possibility some wet snow showers will been seen below 500 feet this morning. That’s a possibility in Snohomish County, according to KIRO 7 Meterologist Nick Allard
However, the National Weather Service says snow will have a “minimal” impact on the morning commute.
Forecasters say if snow falls in the lowlands, it likely won’t stick to the roads.
The National Weather Service in Seattle says precipitation may fall as rains, snow, or a mix.
Lowland temperatures Friday morning will be in the 30s, rising to the 40s by the afternoon.
Allard said the main pockets of snow will be at higher elevations.
“I think any kind of accumulation will be 500 feet or higher and be super spotty,” Allard said, adding that most surface temperatures will remain above freezing.
Allard said temperatures will be creep up to the mid 40s by Friday afternoon. The area will be mostly dry with spotty showers.
Check for school closings and delays
For the weekend, temperatures will reach the upper 40s and we will see a few passing showers. Sunday is expected to be the drier day.
